What the Role Is
The Americas Sales Director, Global Travel Retail (GTR), will take the commercial leadership role in supporting the implementation and strategic vision for Heaven Hill’s Travel Retail business across the Americas Region. This position will lead and manage the business unit with the view to increase brand equity, market share and profitability. Key tasks are long-term brand building and developing financial return by negotiating profitable listings, identifying and exploiting brand activation opportunities through merchandising and promotional activities, executing best-in-class promotions, and training & collaborating with sales professionals across a regional network of travel retail.
In partnership with the Managing Director GTR, marketing and finance teams, the Director leads, manages and oversees the negotiation & activation of key strategic accounts across the Americas, and agreements covering pricing, promotion, ranging, and visibility, while building the relationship with all key accounts to achieve both short and long-term brand building. Key customers include DFA, UETA, AVOLTA/Dufry, DFS, DFASS, London Supply, Carisam, Motta, top cruise line companies, etc.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Responsible of development and overseeing implementation of strategy and planning for Americas Travel Retail customers in collaboration with Global Brand Teams, GTR Marketing and Finance.
- Responsible for the Americas GTR P&L, managing the current existing business & relationships with all customers in the channel, including North America, South America & Caribbean.
- Business development: Identify profitable growth opportunities for Heaven Hill’s Travel Retail portfolio in the region.
- Act as the primary two-way conduit between Heaven Hill and the Americas current & future key customers and be the key contact for all aspects of customer service.
- Preparation of annual budgets & commercial planning, monitoring of results and ultimate delivery of the plan agreed.
- Together with the GTR Marketing Manager, regional and local marketing resources, develop/adapt appropriate brand activations and negotiate subsequent programs with accounts.
- Ensure the correct execution of the GTR brand programs and initiatives in customer outlets, evaluate and modify as appropriate.
- Conduct the annual pricing, listings & promotional program negotiations with key strategic accounts across Americas Travel Retail channel.
- Provide understanding and develop key account best practices and transfer knowledge to other Global Travel Retail regions and to the wider organization.
- Build and implement appropriate Key Account metrics
- Benchmark / monitor Heaven Hill performance versus competitors
- Ongoing coordination with supply chain, finance, global brand & Travel Retail marketing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
- Minimum 10 years consumer packaged goods sales experience
- Minimum 7 years sales experience in Travel Retail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, preferably in multiple languages
- Proven negotiating skills

- Excellent written communication skills; ability to compose all communication

- Strong prioritization skills

- MBA
- Ability to communicate in other languages, Spanish preferable
