Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Summary

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide essential support to individuals in home and community settings, focusing on long-term care and personal assistance. Your core responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and ensuring the well-being of clients. With a high school diploma or GED, you will utilize your caregiving skills and knowledge of resident's rights to foster a safe and respectful environment. - Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transferring
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
