We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and manage the annual budget process, providing insights into variances and trends.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of all audit requirements.
- Provide guidance on governmental accounting practices as needed.
- Utilize Xero software for efficient financial management and reporting.
- Lead the finance team in achieving departmental objectives while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting processes, and account analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting practices and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
