Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager is responsible for monitoring daily accounting activities related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and general ledgers. The Financial Manager will also be responsible for preparing and verifying financial statements for both Canadian and the United States companies, while ensuring compliance with IFRS and all financial regulations. This is a hands-on role involving people management, coaching, and shaping the finance department. This position requires the individual to work closely with other departments including production, planning, logistics, supply chain and engineering. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled, experienced, and motivated finance professional to join Heliene’s team at the start of an explosive growth period. The location of this position will be Rogers, Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities :
- Complete month-end processing and closing procedures and lead preparation of financial statements and supporting working papers. Ensure all month end activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger and sub-ledger records and produce accurate financial reporting results.
- Maintain monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations for AR, AP, inventory, fixed Assets and ROU Assets.
- Maintain general ledger to sub-ledgers reconciliation for all applicable general ledger accounts.
- Maintain inventory, fixed assets and ROU asset accounting for multiple locations.
- Provide support for the periodic and annual inventory count procedures and work with the warehouse team to analyze the discrepancies between physical and ERP inventory.
- Improve control procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls related to inventory management
- Assist Director of Finance in the matters of Treasury, Risk Management, Taxation, Budgeting, and Capital Planning.
- Assist with ad hoc audits and compliance issues – annual external financial audit, state audits, monthly & quarterly sales and use tax reporting, US & CDN government statistical reporting, etc.
- Direct, assist, and mentor direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications :
Professional accounting designation (CPA), bachelor's degree in business or related field, at least five years of progressive financial experience in medium sized manufacturing organizations and at least two years of supervisory / lead experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Salary Range : $80,000 to $105,000 Annually
