We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our amazing team. As a bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable functions. You will work closely with our administrative team to ensure smooth financial operations and provide crucial support in various financial and organizational tasks. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (in office only)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and update accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis.
- Match purchase orders and related documents with corresponding invoices.
- Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with vendors and management.
- Generate checks and process payments for accounts using Bill.com.
- Facilitate the timely signing and mailing of checks to vendors within agreed-upon terms.
- Provide weekly accounts receivable reports to the sales team and issue statements for collections.
- Prepare monthly financial summary reports for review by company owners and CPA.
- Conduct monthly credit card and bank statement reconciliations.
- Perform journal entries for payroll and other monthly transactions.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets of financial transactions as necessary.
Skills:
- Proficient in managing accounts payable, receivable, and collections.
- Expertise with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and QuickBooks Online.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong numerical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of previous experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounting role.
- NACPB-Certified or similar accounting certification is preferred.
- Previous experience with Margin Edge and Bill.com is preferred
- Degree in Accounting is highly preferred
