Helm Group, Inc. (www.helmgroup.com) is seeking a seeking an energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in our Freeprort, IL office. The primary task of this position is responsibility for accounts payable and cash disbursements. In addition, this position requires some cross training on other accounting department tasks including payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing accounts payable vendor invoices into our accounting software.
- Process Credit Card disbursements on a weekly basis.
- Review checks that are written for weekly check runs.
- Prepare and process bank deposits on a daily basis.
- Take accounts payable inquiry calls from our vendors.
- Monitor approvals for A/P invoices are done in a timely manner.
- Review and reconcile monthly statements from vendors.
- Cross training to assist with payroll data entry.
Basic Knowledge/Skills:
- A very dependable and punctual person
- A knowledge of Microsoft office products, primarily Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good organizational skills, and time management skills
- Accuracy
- Good people skills and able to interact with a variety of personalities of vendors, customers and employees.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- College degree preferred, but not necessary.
- 2-5 years accounting experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
