What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Hempfield Area School District?
The Hempfield Area School District has a vacancy for a permanent full-time 12-month payroll specialist effective no later than April 1, 2025. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain detailed payroll records, complete accurate payroll processing for all employees, complete all related federal, state and local payroll related reports and to oversee the district’s time & attendance system. The Payroll Specialist will operate in a team environment, working under tight deadlines, with confidentiality and discretion to be maintained at all times. This position will provide administrative support and enhance the effectiveness of the Business Office, with specific responsibility for administrative functions such as time management, budget preparation, assisting with key projects, preparing correspondence, and information sharing to all employees on payroll related items.
