What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis position at Henderson Scott US?
Reporting into the Head of FP&A, the Senior Manager of FP&A will be a key strategic member of the FP&A team.
This is a hybrid position based out of the firm's Midtown, Manhattan office.
The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for:
- Developing close relationships across the Financial Operations, Pricing and Commercial teams
- Refining and improving financial analysis models and processes
- Providing financial support for internal and external client meetings
- Managing the three-year investment planning cycle for a selection of practice groups
- Updating forecasts on an ongoing basis
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to impact decision making, profitability forecasting based on multiple levels and influencing / offering advice to optimize desired results
- Providing financial analysis to support lateral hiring process
- Proactively looking for improvements for the US contribution margin and improving overall practice performance
- Managing the US annual partner compensation process for designated departments
- Performing detailed reviews of individual partner performance
- Championing the use of alternative resources including utilizing support at other offices
- Preparing and delivery of ad hoc reporting
- Designing, preparing and delivering financial presentations and on-off financial analysis as required
Key Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 7 years of experience in FP&A
- Law Firm experience preferred - but open to professional services and some financial services industry experience
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Aderant or Elite experience a plus
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to build relationships across business units
Salary : $180,000 - $245,000
