Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Shop Supervisor/Production Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our client's factory. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for carrying out day-to-day operations, managing a growing team, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Directly supervise 58 employees, including 8 department leaders and 50 associates.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to address challenges and align operations with the production schedule.
- Lead, train, and support a team of production employees, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members as the team continues to grow.
- Implement new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and scalability as the company grows.
- Monitor workflows and implement process improvements to optimize resource allocation.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including output, efficiency, and downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated success navigating high-growth phases in a small-to-midsize business.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
