YOUR ROLE
The Material Handler Lead position serves the role of executing production in the safest, most efficient manner possible for the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations. In doing so, the Material Handler Lead bears responsibility in the following areas:
- Compliance with Henkel’s Vision and Values.
- Support of the Production Department Vision.
- Execution of duties in accordance with Henkel’s SHE standards and practices including the use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediate correction of safety hazards.
- Lead the Material Handler team on shift, ensure high level of material supply for B&P uptime.
- Coordinate material supply to / from the B&P lines, including drum changes, changeovers, returns, scrap.
- Coordinate the execution of tanker changes, clear communication on next changes/timing across shifts.
- Execute ownership of high level 5S of tanker bay, drum/pump areas at each line.
- Ensure good shift to shift communication with other Material Shift Handler Leads, MOS board ownership.
- Collaboration cross functionally (MH, Warehouse, supervisor, etc.. to ensure teams supply B&P).
- Engagement and ownership of one’s own work area and equipment.
- Compliance with supervisory direction including special project work.
- Maintains a professional, team-player attitude, helping other Henkel employees and departments exceed expectations.
- Self-identification of training and development needs.
- All other duties as assigned by Henkel.
