INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) MANAGER
Heritage Community Credit Union (HCCU) is seeking a Full-time (40 hours/week) Information Technology (IT) Manager to join The HCCU Crew. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, the IT Manager will oversee the IT department, managing all aspects of HCCU’s technology systems, including the core banking system, online/mobile banking platform, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 applications, network infrastructure, and third-party interfaces, systems and databases.
This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and guiding the Credit Union in achieving its strategic goals by removing technological barriers for success and ensuring that the necessary technology is available to all employees. Key responsibilities include managing internal IT staff and vendor relationships, supporting end users, troubleshooting issues, ensuring effective security measures, overseeing implementations and upgrades, managing databases, handling disaster recovery, and identifying KPIs from system data to generate reports.
The IT Manager position is based in the Sacramento area and offers a hybrid remote work arrangement.

Qualifications For Information Technology (it) Manager
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in IT management, ideally within a financial institution such as a credit union or bank
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles, data protection laws (such as GLBA and PCI-DSS), and compliance regulations specific to the financial industry
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in managing IT teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment
- Strong knowledge of core banking systems and a solid understanding of third-party interfacing systems, such as online/mobile banking, account opening/loan origination, and general ledger systems. Knowledge of and experience with core banking conversions is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, and enterprise software solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external vendors
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and staff development skills are required
- Independent and critical thinking, problem solving, and an innovative approach will lead to success in this evolving and key role
- Must work well leading and as part of a team
- The ability to manage projects through completion is critical
