Primary Purpose
Performs functions to complete all fingerprint and sales sample analysis according to EPA, RCRA and waste analysis plan approved methods in the laboratory. Operates instrumentation independently. Calculates, runs, prepares and reports analytical data. Works with Plant Manager, AC and/or Approvals to ensure proper testing of product code analysis is completed.

Education: Four year college degree (with a major in chemistry preferred) or two years of documented Lab work experience required.
Experience: 1 year college level laboratory experience or work place equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Good mathematical and computer skills required. Ability to utilize all necessary laboratory equipment.
A post offer drug screen will be required.

- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Prepares, composites and logs in samples per Waste Analysis Plan.
- Performs required fingerprint analysis per Waste Analysis Plan.
- Performs pre-approval sample analysis.
- Performs bench analysis for in house processing.
- Performs fingerprint and pre-approval sample analysis, and subsequently reports to supervision.
- Prepares and checks calibration curves for all analytical instrumentation.
- Monitors lab instrumentation for malfunction or incompatibility with samples.
- Monitors lab equipment and chemical supply inventory and places purchase requests with supervisor.
- Maintains proper logs based on company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the retention and disposal of lab samples and lab waste per company policy.
- Performs housekeeping duties per company policy.
