Heritage Palms has over 1000 homes, serving a blended community of 55 members. Heritage Palms prides itself in exceptional tailored customer service for each member. The Fitness attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operations of the fitness center within Heritage Palms. This role involves providing excellent customer service to residents, ensuring that the fitness equipment is properly maintained and supporting residents in their fitness routines.
The 1st Assistant Golf Professional , is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
As a member of the golf management team, the 1st Assistant Golf Professional to support the Head Golf Professional with the overall management of the golf operation, while working cooperatively with other departments. This position supervises assistant professionals, golf shop service staff, outside golf services ad reports to our Head Golf Professional.
Golf Operations Management:
- Oversees the reservation system, starting, monitoring and pace of play.
- Track and verify all players and guests, green fees, golf carts, club care, handicap fees and other charges necessary, and facilitate accurate accounting and recordkeeping.
- Oversee golf cart fleet while ensuring proper recordkeeping.
- Develop and manage innovative tournament program, group outings and leagues that service all customer segments.
- Oversee operations of a well-managed practice facility.
- Play golf with variety of members and/or guests as time permits
- Administer the rules of golf and educate staff. Promote and provide rules of golf clinics to the residents.
- Develop, maintain, update, and utilize customer database.
Retail Management:
- Oversee retail merchandise in step with the mission of the golf operation and facility.
- Supervise physical inventories, present a diverse and desirable array of golf equipment, apparel, accessories.
- Supervise and train all golf shop staff to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain orderly appearance in and around the golf shop.
- Conduct accurate and timely inventory counts.
Golf Administration:
- Supervise, train and motivate all golf department staff.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain safety standards and safety equipment within OSHA requirements
- Oversee the administration of lessons and clinics, trunk shows and fittings.
Business and Financial:
- Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the golf shop operations and golf services.
- Ensure all financial goals and objectives are being achieved.
- Assist in the development of the budget, forecasting and review of all golf operation revenues and expenses, on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Ensures systems controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, and resources.
Knowledge, Skills and Traits:
- Maintain PGA of America “A” class membership in good standing in an active classification
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
- Fundamental supervisory practices and principals.
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Self-Motivated with desire to promote and market
- Service and customer focused attitude
- Experience in written and oral communication
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image within our community
- Maintain credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
- Frequent bending, turning, kneeling.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate a golf car in a safely manner.
