Qualified applicants for Grounds will have a willingness to Learn how to use various pieces of equipment, Ability to Adapt to Different Situations and Change Work Processes to accommodate customer needs, Ability to Take Criticism, Listening Skills to make sure that they are meeting the needs of their clients for cleanliness and sanitation standards, Good Customer Service skills, Reliability, Organizational skills.

The Groundskeeper performs landscaping tasks using power equipment and hand tools to maintain the facilities’ grounds.

Your role:

• Rake and clean the beach area; arrange lounge chairs
• Unlock Kayaks
• Open umbrellas (depending on the weather)
• Blow leaves around the property
• Walk through the property walkway and pick up the solid wastes in the fences in front of the rooms
• Picks up and removes trash around all over the property
• Trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.
• Make sure that the dumpster is always closed.
• Before your shift ends- turn off all sprinkles that are on (sprinklers should not be on more than 15 min per spot)
• Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Performs routine maintenance on power equipment.
• Check our bicycles if they need maintenance (example: if the chain fell/broke or needs air in the tire
• Performs other related duties as assigned

When needed and assigned responsibilities:

• Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
• Plants trees and prunes them when necessary.
• Cuts and removes trees as needed.

• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
