What are the responsibilities and job description for the Location Manager position at Hertz Car Rental?
We are seeking a Location Manager to operate and independently run our Hertz Car Rental location in Savannah. The Manager must direct employees and provide clients with excellent customer service. This position requires training, managing, and mentoring of all team members at the location and must be united with senior management to achieve goals set for the location and the company with senior management.
Management experience required. Car Rental management experience preferred.
The compensation package for this position is:
- $51,500 per year
- Commission eligible
- Bonus Potential of up to $12,000/year

Responsibilities:
- Train, manage, develop, and correct staff
- Hold monthly meetings with staff, determine the agenda, use judgment to discuss correction with Senior Management, and implement solutions to procedural problems at the local level
- Lead by example to ensure every customer has an exceptional positive experience
- Achieve individual goals as well as help others to achieve team sales goals
- Grow sales by practicing company business tactics and using the fleet well
- Take every precaution to protect assets and ensure fleet is accounted for and in excellent condition
- Continually strive to increase revenue by thinking outside of the box and aligning ideas with the company’s philosophy and resources and working with Senior Management
- Uphold company standards by ensuring that all staff are following company policies and procedures
- Require that counter staff follow the Standards of Excellence dialogue when assisting customers and follow all company policies on transactions
- Improve incremental sales revenue by reviewing logs with staff and equipping them with knowledge
- Work Out of Service vehicles daily by reporting progress, providing updates to the fleet group, completing claims, and obtaining Purchase Orders promptly to keep Out of Service percentages low
- Delegate daily tasks to staff
- Recognize systematic issues/errors by analyzing and utilizing logs (fuel, productivity, etc.)
- Initiate resolution on all personnel issues including correction, discipline, and partnering with HR to pursue completion of corrective action
- Take ownership in the success of the location’s performance and be the changing force when the location needs improvement, showing care and concern for all interests of the business
