We are seeking a talented and organized Project Manager with experience in the low-voltage industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in construction management, low-voltage systems, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in this field. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
2. Low-Voltage Systems: Possess an understanding of low-voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarm systems, access control systems, camera systems, structured cabling, and audio-visual systems. Coordinate the design, installation, and integration of these systems into client projects. (NOTE: Industry knowledge is preferred, however, candidates with other project management experience will be considered)
3. Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues.
4. Project Execution: Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with project plans, industry standards, and client specifications. Monitor and control project progress, making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and quality standards.
5. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring adherence to financial targets. Identify and manage project risks that may impact budget and schedule, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams/technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle. Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative work environment to achieve project goals.
7. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all installs and systems meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations for quality and functionality. Conduct thorough testing and inspections to verify system performance and compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a positive work experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
