Job Overview
The Program Director is essential in overseeing and executing all client services. This role includes managing staff orientation, training, and supervision. The Program Director is also responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of services to clients. Additionally, this position requires availability for on-call services as necessary.
Scope of work
- Conduct initial assessments (if license-eligible) and review all assessments with documentation.
- Provide field supervision for Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) as needed.
- Oversee workflows to optimize departmental operations.
- Communicate with the team about waiting lists, admissions, service outcomes, and consumer satisfaction.
- Manage team schedules and oversee staff accountability to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform quality assurance practices and manage accountability measures.
- Assist in hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination processes.
- Provide programmatic and administrative supervision for staff.
- Offer guidance and support to leadership roles.
- Attend planning, training, and weekly meetings with the CEO.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and oversee program expansions or modifications.
- Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available for effective operations.
- Coordinate organizational workflows and develop service delivery policies in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Be available 24/7 for administrative support.
What we are looking for
- Open to contract-based employment.
- Open to working in a remote setup.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a community-based mental health setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and managerial experience.
- Must pass a criminal background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a satisfactory DMV driving record.
- The Program Director must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in a human services or related field (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, vocational rehabilitation, or a comparable discipline) and meet QMHP qualifications.
- Understanding of principles, techniques, and practices for community-based mental health services.
- Familiarity with case documentation standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of mental illnesses and effective therapeutic interventions.
- Awareness of community resources and entitlement benefits.
- Skilled in utilizing clinical supervision to enhance service delivery and documentation across programs.
- Ability to manage and oversee multiple systems and roles effectively.
- Completion of training in CPR, First Aid, and behavioral management techniques.
