This position is for a Sachet Specialist: Lead tea bag maker. You will be bagging our hand blended teas into microplastic free tea bags and hand stapling them with a stainless steel staple. The reason for this process is to offer people traditional herbalism in tea form. Large tea bags filled with care and intention and not with chemicals, microplastics, and additives.
Qualities:
Someone who enjoys a repetitive task with low stress.
Ability to sit or stand in same area for extended hours
We do expect a positive attitude when at work and do not hold space for negativity or disrespect to one another or the space.
Requirements:
Very good finger dexterity
Ability to focus on a repetitive task. Podcasts, music and such are welcome to help make the time extra enjoyable.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
No previous experience required
No education requirements other than reading and writing in English and basic math skills

Hours:
4-5 days per week (30-40 hours)
Shift times somewhat flexible around the hours of 9-5
Pay:
W2
Commission- $18/hr training for 20 shifts or if exceeding this wage in commission
$.15 per bag commission after 20 shifts or if achieved sooner
Need to be making at least $18/hr on commission at 3 month review to assure position is best fit
$18/hr hourly for any hourly needs.
Role:
Place loose tea into tea bags in correct proportion, folding and sealing in suggested manner.
Potentially: Make potions, blend teas, make samplers
Vacation/ Personal time off:
5 paid days per year. Increases 1 day per year (communicate in advance) up to 10 days off.
Unpaid sick and personal days can be taken as needed and agreed upon with the manager.
Holidays:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day paid if falling on a normal work day.
Time off is extremely restricted between mid November and the first of January other than needed holiday travel early agreed upon.
Holiday Bonus every year.
