Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments, both in person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information in the dental office system
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage office supplies and inventory
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Proficiency in using dental office management software (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Bilingual preferred
