HPUMC Day School Assistant Director, Compliance and Safety
This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.
The Assistant Director, Compliance and Safety is primarily responsible for managing school-wide record compliance and all health and safety reports and processes. This position collaborates closely with the Director and Administration Team.
Reports To: Director of HPUMC Day School
Ministerial Exemption: NA
FLSA Status: Exempt
Campus: Mockingbird
Working Hours: This is a Full-time position that will work at least 40 hours per week.
Anticipated Schedule: Monday- Friday, rotating schedule between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, including an unpaid lunch break. During certain times of the year, additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintains School Records (school-wide)
- Ensures records compliance with CCR
- Manages child enrollment records
- Manages teacher records required by CCR and annual training records
- Manages Health & Safety (school-wide)
- Ensures preparation of injury documentation
- Submits injury reports that require medical attention to CCR, HPUMC Building Services Director, and insurance
- Manages medication procedures and documentation
- Disperses medication to students
- Manages food allergy, emergency medication, and teacher training
- Supports Director to ensure compliance with Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and NAEYC Best Practices
- Oversees Staff Training with respect for Health and Safety in the Day School
- Plans and carries out all School-wide Drills
- Works with the Assistant Director of Curriculum on Student Behavior Management
- Works with the Assistant Director of Curriculum to support teachers for all issues regarding student development and behavior
- Collaborates with Director and Consultants on student development
- Supports Director with the hiring of teachers

Additional Requirements:
- Meets criteria for Director Certification through Texas Health and Human Services, Department of Child Care Regulation (Minimum Standards 746.1015)
- CPR and First Aid Certifications (can be completed while employed)
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
Education and Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5 years experience in Early Childhood Education required; administrative experience preferred
