HighPoint’s Director of Administration and Volunteer Services will significantly contribute to our mission through enthusiastic servant leadership in a dynamic working environment, careful management of o ce administration, bookkeeping, data collection, as well as engaging and shepherding of volunteers.
This role reports directly to the Executive Director and works as a team player with other staff members and volunteers to ensure we are operating at our best for the glory of God and for the benefit of all who give, serve, and belong at HighPoint.
Essential Job Functions
- Intentionally create and cultivate a positive atmosphere where all people are valued and treated with respect and dignity regardless of their engagement with HighPoint: client, volunteer, community engagement, staff or other.
- Positively represent our interests and communicate our mission to all persons engaged with HighPoint at all times when necessary and when helpful.
- Carefully oversee day to day office functions, including but not limited to office equipment, incoming communications, data entry, document management, and general office reception, with the support of HighPoint’s staff assistant and administrative volunteers.
- Meticulously record and maintain HighPoint’s financial transactions, including all accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budget reporting, designated funds, tax filings, and end of year reporting.
- Joyfully oversee volunteer services including communications, onboarding, training, support, and appreciation.
- Supervise and support HighPoint’s staff assistant; delegating tasks, working as a team, and providing encouragement and guidance to help HighPoint achieve it’s mission.
- Frequently meet with staff and volunteer leadership to communicate and collaborate in ways that help further our mission.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to serve the mission of HighPoint.
Education and Experience
- A person of strong faith and in agreement with HighPoint’s Belief Statements, understanding the ministerial component to this role.
- Experience leading and working in a faith-based ministry, non-profit, or volunteer-driven organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to balance task and relationship, with a priority to addressing the needs of people who give, serve, and belong at HighPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, working with people at all levels of the organization, problem-solving and multi tasking.
- Attention to detail with a priority towards financial accuracy, accountability, and transparency.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with general IT troubleshooting, Google Drive Cloud Management, Canva, and Bloomerang Donor Management Software a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, College Degree preferred.
Working Conditions
- Hours of work and Overtime expectations: Part-Time (Exempt), 30 hours of work per week in the HighPoint Office. During busy event and tax filing seasons, additional hours may be expected, but not in excess.
- On-call responsibilities: Occasional after hours calls, texts, or email from staff or volunteers.

- Work environment: Work is performed in the HighPoint Business Office with occasional support in other areas of the facility, including the warehouse and outdoors.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
