This position supports volunteer events and provides administrative support for the Volunteer Department and the Director of Volunteer Services.

Position Summary:
The Volunteer Services Coordinator works in partnership with the Volunteer Managers to support the provision of volunteer services to hospice patients, their families, and the organization. This position supports volunteer events and provides administrative support for the Volunteer Department and the Director of Volunteer Services.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with each Volunteer Manager and Hosparus Health community to support and meet the needs of the patient/family and organization with volunteer services.
- Process volunteer application, complete volunteer background and track immunizations in collaboration with occupational health.
- Enter data and run reports in volunteer database (Better Impact).
- Coordinates any orientation needs to support Volunteer Managers.
- Assist with volunteer assignments for each community, completing EMR documentation and contacting volunteers.
- Supports the Annual Volunteer Review Process and volunteer competencies.
- Supports planning for volunteer special events, securing quotes for venues, catering and gifts.
- Orders supplies and prepares material for volunteer training needs.
- Assist with budget and expense tracking.
- Assures that resource needs are clearly communicated to Volunteer Managers and Director of Volunteer Services.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working with volunteer programing.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of organizational objectives.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
- Flexibility to travel to sites within the organization’s service area, which may include night and weekend events or travel.
