What You Will Do:
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of the department in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Administer employee policies and procedures. Develop, maintain and periodically update written policies and procedures and job descriptions. Orient staff and train on policies and procedures. Ensure that all staff receive the company specific Memory Care and state mandated training within the established timeline.
- Supervise, schedule and evaluate staff.
- Develop departmental budget and staffing plan.
- Make reports and recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary or required concerning the operation of the Memory Care setting.
- Develop, implement, audit and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program and provide appropriate plans of action to correct any identified deficiencies.
- Take initiative to actively plan, develop, and implement expansion and/or innovation in program services with the Program Coordinator and collaborate on creating calendars and functional activities schedules
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The position reports to the Executive Director and is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment. The position supervises, directs, and reviews the work of associates in the Memory Care department.
Why You Are Qualified:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with major work in related field required
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in the long-term care industry or related field required.
- RN or LPN license required or as directed by applicable state requirements.
- Memory care experience is required
- Current CPR certification required.
- On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
