Responsibilities:
Analytical Chemist and Microbiologist will report to Technical Manager and be responsible for processing and analyzing medical marijuana samples using qPCR, ICPMS and etc. You will gain a deep knowledge of the equipment, their maintenance, calibration and operation.
Essential Job Duties Include:
· Prepare and analyze samples from various growers, processors, and dispensaries.
· Prepare chemical solutions for use in processing samples, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
· Qualitatively and quantitatively test clients’ samples using qPCR, ICPMS, HPLC, and etc.
· Document results of tests and analyses in an organized and timely manner.
· Interpret data and confidentially communicate specimen results with laboratory staff.
· Follow quality control and assurance procedures in compliance with ISO regulations.
· Perform inspection, maintenance, calibration, and quality control tests on lab equipment.
· Promote a positive and safe work environment through understanding of safety (OSHA) regulations, practices, and procedures, including but not limited to biological and chemical hazards.
· Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
· Update results into laboratory information management system (LIMS).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· At least B.S. in chemistry, microbiology, environmental science/engineering or related fields.
· Excellent listening and communication skills, self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be customer service oriented.
Special Requirements:
· At least 1 years’ experience of using ICPMS and qPCR.
· Knowing how to use HPLC and GC is a plus.
· Candidate must maintain confidentiality and take reasonable precautions to keep lab and client data confidential.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to bend at the waist, squat.
· Ability to work with hands, see and hear.
Conditions of Employment:
· Contingent upon a favorable background check.
· Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $42,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
