Vaco has a direct hire opportunity in the Northern Cincinnati area for an experienced, hands-on IT Manager.
The IT Manager should have a background working hands on in IT infrastructure and networking coupled with several years of direct leadership experience.
***This role is 5 days a week in office***
IT Manager responsibilities:
* Analyze our current systems and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
* Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
* Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
* Manage a team of direct reports including Sys Administrators and Help Desk Associates.
* Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.
* Train employees in both software and hardware, troubleshooting, and provides technical support when needed.
* Develop & execute disaster procedures and test & maintain data backups.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelors in technology or computer science or an equivalent demonstrated on-the-job experience in combination with related certifications and/or on-the job experience is acceptable.
* 5 years' experience in IT management in a supervisory role
* Experience with or knowledge of scripting languages like MS PowerShell, automation tools such as Remote Machine Management (RMM), Microsoft Server and PC operating systems, Microsoft 365, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
* Strong virtualization experience with VMware or VEEAM
