Highstreet Insurance & Financial Services – Northern Michigan, based in Traverse City, is looking for an experienced Small Business Insurance Professional who embodies integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. We are a collaborative team of skilled experts committed to providing exceptional service and valuable protection to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist producers in managing client risk exposure and protecting assets through coordinated services focused on client development, retention, and account growth.
- Support marketing efforts for new business opportunities, including reviewing prospects’ current insurance coverage.
- Receive, review and document correspondence in the agency management system.
- Prepare premium financing agreements and invoices and answer billing related questions.
- Handle day-to-day service requests from clients, such as issuing Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property, and Auto ID cards.
- Process policy transactions, including new business, renewals, policy changes, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance company underwriters.
- Perform all essential job functions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
- State of Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong self-motivation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- A 4-year degree in a business-related field is preferred.
