Responsibilities
- Oversee a comprehensive activities program that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being for residents.
- Plan and organize events, outings, and recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are integrated into the overall care plan for each resident.
- Facilitate group and individual activities that encourage participation and foster social interaction.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather input on activity planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to recreational therapy and long-term care services.
- Provide support for residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized programming.
Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Background in event planning or recreational therapy is highly desirable.
- Strong schedule management skills to effectively coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and team members effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
