Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage the maintenance department, ensuring all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and repaired
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure efficient operations
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance projects, including scheduling and assigning tasks to maintenance staff
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime
Manage the budget for the maintenance department, including tracking expenses and making cost-effective decisions
Train and supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections
Experience :
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a leadership or management position OR Long-term Care experience, is required.
Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including both high voltage and low voltage systems
Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
