Job Description

HilltopSecurities is looking to hire a Business Development & Relationship Manager. This role is dedicated to both sourcing new depository institutions (banks / credit unions) to HilltopSecurities (HTS) / Momentum Independent Network (MIN) for the purpose of providing Wealth Management services and serving as the primary Relationship Manager for depository institutions with MIN.

The Hilltop Banking Initiative (HTB) was formed at HTS to provide an integrated and consistent experience across primary institutional touchpoints within HTS. This role will be focused on the Wealth Management segment within the HTB initiative, specifically around sourcing new depository institutions to the Momentum Independent Network and enhancing existing Wealth Management relationships to drive sales growth and aid in business retention of our financial institutions. This individual will need to build meaningful relationships through a high level of engagement with other divisions of the HTB with the goal of teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new depository institutions to utilize the products and services MIN provides.
  • Serve as the primary Relationship Manager for those programs which are served by MIN.
  • Identify opportunities and create programs to increase client satisfaction, retention, and sales growth.
  • Successfully navigate and manage high profile, complex situations.
  • Understand, utilize, and stay current with industry best practices, financial markets, the regulatory environment, and the competitive landscape to optimize results.
  • Develop a team culture to retain, develop and grow engaged employees.
  • Achieving department goals and evaluating overall results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
  • Manage attrition risk of institutions proactively in partnership with other team members.
  • Developing and executing business plan initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services, preferably in a sales and / or client service / relationship management capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Series 7, 63 & 65 preferred
  • Prior experience managing relationships in the depository institution space or business-to-business space.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • High-level strategist experience coupled with the ability to implement methods that drive sales.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to interact with and influence senior leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of the client segment, organization, product, industry, and end customer.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the financial service industry (HTB offering), products, and services.
  • Strong relationship management and teaming experience.
  • Ability to effectively analyze situations and apply solutions to achieve resolution.
  • Ability to identify and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
