What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Project Director position at Hinds Behavioral Health Services?
Job Summary: The Project Director is the day-to-day point of contact for the CCBHC grant, is responsible for ensuring that all SAMHSA requirements are met and that all reports are submitted timely and accurately, working collectively with the Evaluator and other key staff. The Project Director oversees infrastructure development and treatment capacity service expansion and ensures linkages into recovery support services for participants enrolled in the program. The Project Director will oversee all local project activities. This includes development, coordination, leadership, supervision, and implementation of tasks associated with project efforts on the local level. The Project Director will work closely with the Medical Director and medical and behavioral health clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure effective and efficient primary health care integration. The Project Director will develop linkages, establish relationships with key external and internal providers at the state and local levels, and build relationships with community stakeholders and DCOs. The Project Director reports to the Deputy Director.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Behavioral Science, or a health-related field. Minimum of four (4) years of administrative experience in Mental Health, Behavioral Science, or the health-related field, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. Must possess a mental health license or certification or be eligible for such. Experience in the fiscal management of behavioral health, human or social services agency, and governmental or nonprofit entity, including grant management. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work harmoniously with staff, community agencies and leaders; commitment to the community mental health center program concept; an innovative and flexible approach to develop new programs. Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
