What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Compliance Manager position at Hino Trucks?
Hino Trucks is looking for an Assistant Compliance Manager at our HQ in Novi, Michigan. This position will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and supporting the enhancement of the corporate compliance program. This position will provide critical support in coordinating and performing audits and reviews to test compliance with established laws, regulations, company policies and procedures, and managerial guidelines. It will also investigate reports of alleged noncompliance and complete JSOX auditing.
Key responsibilities:
Develop the compliance program, including but not limited to:
- Policies and procedures
- Code of conduct
- Guidelines
- Presentations
- Auditing and monitoring plans
- Compliance Committee / Regular Meetings
- Develop detailed compliance audit / review schedules, to be updated every quarter
Develop an annual compliance plan, including:
- Risk matrix identifying potential regulatory compliance obligations of and prioritize areas for assessment
- Audit / review schedule delineating the areas identified for audit / review based on the strategic objectives established in the risk matrix
- Compliance department 90-day plan for other compliance activities (e.g., development of compliance-related forms and postings).
Maintain a current understanding of regulatory trends and changes in law and advise management staff of trends affecting core business activities
Support the JSOX compliance program, including scoping, testing, reviewing, and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, accounting, or finance
- 3 years of accounting / finance experience, preferably in compliance and/or internal audit
- Proven experience in compliance management and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience of implementing a compliance program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Proven organizational and time management ability
