About the Opportunity :
HireNow Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services (RN) to lead the Surgical Services Department at a premier healthcare facility in Lewiston ID . This leadership role provides an exciting opportunity to oversee a highperforming surgical team implement best practices and drive quality patient care in a stateoftheart surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Surgical Services Department overseeing approximately 50 FTEs including RNs CSTs Anesthesia Techs CNAs and Clerical Staff
- Oversee 7 operating suites equipped with VELYS RoboticAssisted Solution and da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Ensure efficient surgical operations patient safety and compliance with hospital policies accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement departmentwide strategies for performance improvement cost management and process optimization
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists nursing staff and hospital leadership to enhance surgical care quality and efficiency
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to staff
- Maintain compliance with sterile processing sterilization and decontamination procedures
- Monitor and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for surgical outcomes and patient care
- Act as a liaison between Surgical Services Nursing Administration and Executive Leadership
Required Qualifications :
Three to four years of experience in Surgical Services
Prior management experience in a surgical setting
BSN or Bachelors degree in a related field
Eligible for Idaho RN licensure
BLS certification (must be obtained upon hire)
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification or eligibility
Strong understanding of sterile processing decontamination and surgical best practices
Preferred Qualifications :
Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field
Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills
