Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to procure parts for Mass Production from international and/or domestic vendors using ERP system (Glovia). This position requires communication with foreign entities where primary contacts do not always speak English.
Position Duties and Responsibilities / Weight of Importance %
- Procure parts for Mass Production using ERP System (Glovia) and daily interaction with suppliers: 50%
- Support Astemo manufacturing with continuous supply of parts. Resolve supplier issues and support mass production design changes: 15%
- Maintain ERP system parameters and work with team members to resolve data concerns: 15%
- Daily communication with Production Planners: 10%
- Other duties as assigned in order to support Materials/Inventory Control Department: 10%
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 2-year college degree in a related field (or commensurate work experience)
- Minimum of 4 years applicable experience in an Administrative/Project Management related field
- 2 years experience as a Buyer using an ERP system
- Intermediate experience in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Experience buying mass production parts with Glovia ERP system
- Project Management skills & experience
- Negotiation skills across multiple
