Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer complex and extensive codebase mathematical models related to the power market.
- Understand and implement technical designs and approaches for new
- functionalities.
- Write and optimize code to introduce new features and resolve defects across various technologies and products.
- Develop and execute comprehensive unit test scripts for all features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews for fellow developers.
- Document code and create user documentation as necessary.
- Assist with technical, functional, and customer support research.
- Test code releases as required by the Agile scrum team.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new mathematical programming and optimization concepts, algorithms and technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any quantitative field with industry standard programming experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to reverse engineer existing logic and develop innovative solutions.
- 3-5 years of coding experience in C# (preferred) or other languages such as C, C , Python, MATLAB, etc., in an industry environment.
- Experience in mathematical modeling, optimization, and commercial solvers (e.g., Xpress, Gurobi, CPLEX) is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
