Core of the Hitec Power Protection solution are Diesel Rotary UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Systems using flywheel energy storage. Hitec has headquarters in Almelo, the Netherlands. The Internal Sales Support Professional is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing accurate project cost estimates, Supply Chain selection, and obtaining customized supplier quotes, and recommending optimized solutions that strengthen the company's overall offerings. This role involves working with prequalified Suppliers, evaluating their and new supplier capabilities, and aligning their products or services with project requirements. The Internal Sales Support Professional collaborates closely with both sales and technical teams to ensure the proposed solutions meet customer expectations and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Prepare accurate and detailed project cost estimates using data from prequalified Suppliers, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget
  • Analyze project requirements to determine the best resources and materials needed, consulting with Suppliers as necessary
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to understand specific project needs and provide competitive and viable pricing options
  • Review and update cost estimation processes to improve accuracy and efficiency, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from previous projects
  • Identify and evaluate potential Suppliers from a list of prequalified partners, assessing each Supplier's strengths, capabilities, and reliability for the specific project
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Suppliers to stay informed about new products, services, and competitive offerings
  • Ensure Suppliers meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery standards by conducting regular reviews and performance assessments
  • Work closely with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and determine the most effective solutions to meet those needs
  • Propose enhancements to existing solutions by integrating additional products or services from Suppliers, strengthening the company's value proposition
  • Ensure solutions align with industry standards, technical specifications, and company objectives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal performance
  • Contribute to solution innovation and development by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Supplier offerings
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to align Supplier solutions with customer needs and company capabilities
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the proposal and contract stages, assisting in customer presentations and addressing technical queries
  • Partner with procurement and logistics teams to ensure that Supplier products and services can be delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Act as a bridge between Suppliers and internal teams, facilitating clear communication and ensuring alignment on project requirements and timelines
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of Supplier products and solutions to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements across all Supplier-provided solutions
  • Document and communicate best practices for Supplier selection, solution design, and cost estimation, contributing to continuous improvement
  • Assist the sales team in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and customer inquiries, providing detailed cost breakdowns and technical specifications as needed
  • Prepare and present technical documentation and solution overviews to customers, sales staff, and management
  • Support the project management team in identifying any issues related to Supplier delivery or product quality and implementing corrective actions
  • Participate in project kickoff and review meetings, ensuring a seamless handoff from estimation to execution
  • Actively participate in Solution options which include room layouts, configurations, and maintaining "scope gap" definitions with Bid packages
  • Track and report on Supplier costs, performance, and quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve future project estimates and Supplier selections
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management tools for cost estimates, Supplier information, and project detail
