Position Summary : As the Maintenance Technician Supervisor (2nd Shift), you will lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of production and packaging machinery. You will oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production output. This position involves both hands-on work and leadership responsibilities, including coordinating maintenance schedules, mentoring your team, and collaborating with production to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.

Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.

In-depth knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Ability to handle complex repair tasks on production machinery and equipment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a history of leading teams or supervising others.

Work Environment :

This position requires working in a production facility environment, with exposure to machinery, moving parts, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities :

Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs on production and packaging machinery.

Collaborate with the production team to coordinate maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.

Oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery.

Lead troubleshooting efforts on PLC-controlled equipment and other automated systems to maintain production continuity.

Ensure proper use of tools and equipment during maintenance and repair activities.

Maintain compliance with all Kolmar USA corporate policies, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Report any damages, malfunctions, or safety concerns immediately and follow up on corrective actions.

Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues during the 2nd shift.

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.

Review and adjust maintenance schedules as necessary to meet production goals.

Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Requirements :

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

Relevant vocational training or certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
