Purpose:
The HR Planning Manager will lead strategic workforce planning and organizational development initiatives, ensuring the company has the right talent in place to achieve business objectives. The HR Planning Manager will analyze workforce trends, forecasting future talent needs and employee engagement.
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
Strategic Workforce Planning:
- Develop and implement short- and long-term workforce planning strategies.
- Forecast staffing needs based on business growth, market trends, and organizational goals.
- Partner with leadership to align workforce planning with business strategy.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the payroll specialist and benefits specialist to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Collaborate with Plant HR and recruitment teams to develop hiring plans.
- Analyze retention trends and implement initiatives to reduce turnover.
- Oversee programs to attract and retain top talent.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on workforce trends, productivity, and engagement.
- Use data insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead cross-functional teams in HR planning projects.
- Act as a consultant to department heads for staffing, payroll, and organizational issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
Foreign Service Workforce Management:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for Foreign Service Employees (FSEs), addressing unique needs and challenges.
- Oversee compliance with international labor laws, tax regulations, and visa requirements.
- Coordinate expatriate and repatriate processes, including relocation and cultural adjustment support.
- Develop and manage policies and programs specific to foreign assignments.
Immigration Management:
- Manage HR Planning Analysts that liaise with legal counsel, and internal teams to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding immigration processes and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of immigration status and ensure timely actions on renewals or changes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Proven experience in workforce planning, HR strategy, payroll and benefits administration, and international HR management.
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (required).
· Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR analytics, payroll systems, and expatriate management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of employment laws, international labor regulations, and benefits compliance.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Competencies:
· Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll software (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP).
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint.
· Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and analysis.
· Expertise in benefits administration platforms and integration with payroll systems.
· Strong understanding of immigration regulations and visa management systems.
· Knowledge of employment laws and international HR compliance regulations.
· Ability to manage complex projects using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).
· Experience in building predictive workforce models using HR analytics tools.
Work Environment:
· Office setting with occasional travel to other company locations. Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
