Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team and manage our clients’ financial records. This role combines administrative management to ensure the smooth operation of our office and bookkeeping responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a productive and organized work environment.
- Answer phones, greet clients, and manage office supplies.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Bookkeeping:
- Categorize transactions in QuickBooks, including payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll, monthly financial statements and other reports for review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal team members regarding financial matters.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Stay up to date with QuickBooks updates and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in office management and bookkeeping, preferably in a tax or accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) is essential with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail and an ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
