Job Description:

We are looking to add an IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team in Waukee, IA office. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via face-to-face, telephone, and electronic communication.
  • Troubleshoot and manage hardware, software, or network problems on company computers.
  • Support mobile devices.
  • Create, escalate, and route support desk tickets.
  • Image and install software for personal computers.
  • Set up workstations, including monitors, docking stations, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Offer guidance on IT policies and best practices.
  • Document solutions and IT processes.
  • Coordinate service request tickets for employees' onboarding, offboarding, and access requests.
  • Provide and coordinate technology for events and training on software and hardware solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer or business-related discipline preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of desktop or second tier support in an Information Technology Department.
  • Skills & Technical Competencies: Intermediate knowledge of terminology associated with computer hardware, MS Office, and Windows operating systems, along with familiarity in using multiple remote tools and utilities for technology support. Invests in the development of technical knowledge, understands business needs to make informed decisions and deliver technology solutions, including effective related processes and procedures. Ability to efficiently identify problem(s), leverage resources to determine root cause(s) and propose and implement solutions or make improvements.
