What We Need:
We are looking for a Director, Dealer Development to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for the implementation and coordination of internal resources to execute the organization’s long-term strategic plan for the dealer network.
- Identify opportunities to enhance dealer engagement and performance aligning internal and external resources effectively.
- Develop a strategic plan and approach to growing the dealer network, creating opportunities for increased market penetration and alignment with sales strategies.
- Establish successful onboarding and training/development opportunities to support the dealer relationship and sales performance.
- Create and analyze performance metrics to evaluate dealer success and respond quickly to build and implement strategies for company growth both within the dealer’s business, and through dealer partners’ market share growth.
- Conduct regular dealer business reviews to obtain significant insight into performance, goal attainment, and robust forward business plans.
- Conduct market research to analyze dealer coverage, competitor presence, and industry trends.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for dealer partners negotiating dealer agreements/contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, and addressing/resolving conflicts.
- Oversee contract management of top Allsteel dealer contracts.
- Oversee management system to track, monitor, and advance dealer succession plans and merger and acquisition activities.
- Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment. Drive member engagement.
- Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of dealer relations, commercial furnishings, or relevant business experience required; 10 years of experience preferred.
- At least 3 years of management/leadership experience is preferred.
