Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to deliver precise pricing and effective cost control measures.

Duties

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on existing conditions and assess project requirements.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project goals.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to identify potential overruns or savings opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline scope, pricing, and terms for clients.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence related to projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of cost control techniques and budget management practices.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting estimates clearly to stakeholders.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
