Job Summary:
Holcomb Law is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to the CEO with a strong background in Human Resources to provide comprehensive administrative support to the team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of HR practices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position requires a professional with strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive HR-related matters with confidentiality.
We are a dynamic mid-sized law firm with offices in Newport News, Yorktown, Virginia Beach, and Lynchburg . This position is for our Newport News office.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and correspondence handling.
· Assist in HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration.
· Support the executive team with HR-related policies, procedures, and compliance tasks.
· Coordinate employee training, development programs, and performance evaluation processes.
· Prepare and maintain reports, presentations, and other documents for the executive team.
· Act as a liaison between CEO and employees, addressing inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and general office administration.
· Organize and manage company events, employee engagement initiatives, and team-building activities.
· Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
· Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· At least 2 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, HR Assistant, or similar role.
· Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in employee relations or talent acquisition is desirable.
