What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent Evening Shift position at Holiday Inn East?
Guest Service Agent job duties:
· Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotel
· Verify guests' credit card, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation
· Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
· Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests
· Issue room keys and relay information to bellman attendant
· Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
· Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
· Make and confirm reservations
· Record and resolve guest comments or complaints
· Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment
Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
Additional duties assigned by supervisor
Skills:
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
- Customer service attitude
