Hotel -- Housekeeping Department Head Housekeeper / Supervisor

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springville, UT is a great location for business, sports and leisure travel.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of head housekeeper / housekeeping supervisor.

Previous housekeeping manager, assistant manager or supervisor experience is required -- in an IHG Holiday Inn Express hotel or similar quality branded hotel environment. The work environment is fun, challenging, and rewarding for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

· Leadership and management responsibilities for the Housekeeping Department operations and associates

· Overseeing housekeeping, laundry, public areas and back-of-the-house areas

· Ensuring exceptional cleanliness levels are maintained in all guest rooms, public areas and throughout the hotel

- Performing housekeeper/room attendant functions and tasks as needed

- Assisting and supporting Housekeeping and other departmental team members as needed

· Training associates on room attendant tasks and responsibilities, guest room cleanliness, how to interact with guests and courteously solve guest requests

· In conjunction with operations and general manager, ensuring housekeeping department associates complete annual brand and company trainings

· Coaching and counseling associates to ensure uniform, nametag, appearance, punctuality, and behavior policies, brand service standards and procedures are adhered to

· Ensuring guest room and public area inspection program is consistently maintained

· Ensuring all safety and security policies and procedures are adhered to by housekeeping associates

· Inspect rooms daily and coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready

· Performing monthly housekeeping department inventories and providing reports to management

· Requisitioning all housekeeping supplies as needed and in timely manner to with operations manager and general manager

· Ensuring OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to

Requirements:

Complete a housekeeping board like a leader, flawlessly and within time goals

Train and hold housekeepers accountable to do the same

Responsible, observant, detail-oriented and strong work ethic

Bring mature experience to lead, coordinate and communicate with team members

Set positive examples, being fair-minded, organized and diligent to achieve hotel goals

Effective communicator; motivational leader with high energy, organizational, team support and interpersonal abilities

Hospitality and Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills

Communicate and coordinate daily with management and other departments

Experience:

2-4 years of progressive hotel housekeeping, rooms management or other experience

Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, encourage, develop and support a housekeeping team to reach their full potential.

Record of success, consistently high (93 ) guest satisfaction and rooms metrics

Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
