What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Housekeeper position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
- Ensure all areas of the hotel are kept clean and tidy, including hallways, lobbies, and common areas
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas as needed
- Respond promptly to guest requests for housekeeping services
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
- Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure efficient and effective operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products used in industrial cleaning
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and some holidays are required
