The Hotel Maintenance Helper assists with the daily upkeep and maintenance of the hotel property. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the maintenance team in the daily upkeep of the hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.).
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues such as leaks, electrical malfunctions, or mechanical breakdowns.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the setup and repair of equipment used for hotel events and activities.
- Ensure the hotel meets all safety standards, including maintaining fire safety equipment and signage.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance storage areas.
- Assist in painting, minor carpentry, and plumbing tasks as needed.
- Report any major repair issues to the maintenance supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and hotel protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Ability to operate various maintenance tools and equipment safely.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
