Overview :
The Front of House (FOH) Restaurant Manager manages the daily FOH and service operations at Holiday Inn KCI’s casual dining restaurant, Burger Theory. Previous restaurant management experience is required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to manage service aspects in all food and beverage assigned areas and events.
- Ensure customers receive a great dining experience by acknowledging, greeting, and thanking all guests; resolve situations involving unhappy customers using de-escalation tactics.
- Understand and respond to customer’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Confirm that all service staff are in proper uniform and adhere to Hotel KCI LLC’s appearance standards each shift.
- Ensure all franchise-required training is completed for all new service staff within the required time frame.
- Oversee the management and training of front-of-house restaurant staff in accordance with IHG’s standards of quality and service.
- Create, maintain, and distribute weekly FOH staff schedules; communicate changes as necessary.
- Perform “cost-out” reporting of all schedules, comparing "plan" to "actual".
- Conduct pre-shift, pre-meal, and / or pre-event meetings with all necessary FOH staff members; ensure consistent communication within the department.
- Evaluate and supervise FOH staff performance; carry out disciplinary action as needed per the Human Resources Department.
- May serve as Kitchen Manager on duty as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
