Overview:
We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused team player with exceptional leadership and sales skills to join our sales team at this busy location, just minutes away from KCI Airport. As our newest Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for implementing sales/marketing plans that include soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting spaces, food and beverage packages, and other revenue streams through direct client contacts.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability.
- Participate in preparing the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel's marketing and business plans, and financial plans.
- Create and implement sales plans that increase occupancy, average rates, and the volume of food, beverage, and banquet sales.
- Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed the established revenue plan.
- Conduct day-to-day sales activity, plan work, and achieve set performance and development goals.
- Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, hotel sales, marketing, or related field required.
- Previous hotel experience is a must-have!
- Previous IHG Sales experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel- this position requires some overnight travel and attendance at various trade shows, industry events, and training.
