Hotel Maintenance Technician – Comprehensive Property Upkeep & Support

This role is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and kitchen/restaurant facilities. Reports directly to Ownership and the General Manager to ensure all maintenance needs are met efficiently while upholding brand standards and guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance:

• Caulking and sealing bathroom fixtures, windows, and trim
• Repairing drywall, performing painting touch-ups, and addressing flooring issues
• Fixing minor plumbing problems such as clogged drains, leaky faucets, and running toilets
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical concerns, including outlets, light fixtures, and small appliances
• Ensuring HVAC systems are functioning properly and adjusting as needed for guest comfort
• Maintaining locks, doors, keycard systems, and security-related maintenance

Preventative Maintenance & Safety Checks:

• Conducting routine inspections of guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
• Replacing air filters, testing smoke detectors, and ensuring emergency lighting is operational
• Checking boiler, water heater, and mechanical systems to prevent downtime
• Monitoring and maintaining the pool, if applicable, ensuring water quality and safety compliance

Kitchen & Restaurant Maintenance:

• Ensuring proper operation of kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers
• Checking and repairing ventilation, grease traps, and hood exhaust systems for fire safety compliance
• Addressing plumbing issues related to sinks, drains, and ice machines
• Maintaining back-of-house cleanliness by repairing flooring, walls, and surfaces as needed
• Assisting in maintaining food storage areas to ensure compliance with health codes

Meeting Room & Event Space Setup & Maintenance:

• Working as a team to set up meeting rooms, including arranging furniture and AV equipment
• Assisting with special events and banquet setups as needed
• Ensuring conference and event spaces are in proper working order before guest use

General Property & Exterior Maintenance:

• Maintaining landscaping, parking lot upkeep, and exterior walkways
• Repairing hotel signage, fences, and outdoor lighting
• Performing seasonal maintenance such as snow removal or weatherproofing
• Keeping detailed maintenance logs and reporting major issues to management

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to Ownership and the General Manager, providing regular updates on maintenance projects, safety compliance, and facility improvements. The technician is expected to work proactively to prevent long-term damage and respond efficiently to urgent maintenance requests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Day shift
• Evenings as needed
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Cleveland, TN 37312: Relocate before starting work (Required)
