Job Title: Sr AWS IAM Systems Engineer

Location: Roseville, MN (Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite)

Duration: 6 months contract to start

Job Overview:

Seeking a Sr. AWS IAM Systems Engineer to assess, redesign, and enhance IAM systems across both on-prem and AWS cloud environments. You’ll lead the design of secure access models, enforce compliance, automate IAM processes, and strengthen the overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and recommend IAM best practices for current and future-state architectures
• Configure and manage AWS IAM roles, policies, federated identity (SSO)
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
• Design secure access controls across hybrid infrastructure
• Conduct IAM audits and manage entitlements, permissions, access reviews
• Collaborate with security/compliance teams to ensure governance & policy enforcement
• Automate provisioning, de-provisioning, and reporting with PowerShell
• Support investigations related to identity anomalies and incidents

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
• 2–3 years with AWS IAM and related AWS security tools
• Strong experience with IAM assessments, redesign, and implementation
• Knowledge of identity lifecycle management
• Familiar with authentication protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OIDC)
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Experience with audit/compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, ISO 27001)

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Certifications (Security Specialty, SysOps, Solutions Architect)
• Experience with Azure AD, AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, or IGA tools (SailPoint, Okta, One Identity)
• Familiar with Intune, SCCM, or other modern endpoint management tools
• Background in incident response or security operations
• Passion for secure-by-default engineering
